Discolouration

Before and After Gallery » Discolouration
Teeth can discolour by a number of means. Localised discolouration and mottling usually occur when the teeth are forming in early childhood, due to the ingestion of certain antibiotics or excess fluoride. Generalised discolouration of teeth usually occurs later in life due to the death of tooth nerves, or certain habits, e.g. smoking. When tooth whitening alone is insufficient, discolouration can be hidden with porcelain veneers and crowns. The following cases illustrate the dramatic transformations achievable with these restorations.
